Sharing and Enhancing Hits Data
Have you ever been frustrated that the core Joomla hits counter doesn't update when caching is enabled on your client sites. YourSites makes it possibile to enable caching and still record Hits/visits.
With the enterprise version of YourSites 1.70.0 onwards this is now easy with our new ContentCheck plugin.
1. Enable the Check Content Plugin on your YourSites server
The 'check content' plugin is part of YourSites Enterprise since version 1.70.0 but it is not enabled by default. After you enable the plugin you should update the client plugin on your client sites.
2. Configure the YourSites Client Handler Script Plugin
On each client site you will need to enable the "Capture anonymous performance data".
If you enable "Enhance Joomla hits data" this will allow the client site to capture visitor hits data even when content pages are cached
The "Share hits data with YourSites" allows your YourSites server to collect hits data periodically from the client site
3. Configure the Collection and Display of Hits Data"
You now need to configure your YourSites server to collect and collate this information in the YourSites Config
The results can then be accessed (once you've collected some data) vie the 'Content Checks => Site Performance Statistics" menu item on the left of YourSites.
